About Us: Oakville Psychotherapist
Welcome to Oakville Psychotherapist, a trusted center for compassionate and effective psychotherapy services in the heart of Oakville, Ontario. Our mission is to support individuals on their journey toward mental health and well-being through evidence-based psychotherapy treatments tailored to their unique needs.
Our Approach
At Oakville Psychotherapist, we understand that mental health is a crucial aspect of overall wellness. Our team of experienced and licensed psychotherapists is dedicated to providing a safe, confidential, and empathetic environment where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We believe that everyone has the potential for growth, healing, and positive change.
Why see Clinical Psychotherapists?
- Clinical Psychotherapists have more mental health and psychotherapeutic training and experience than any other health profession.
- Clinical Psychotherapists have studied at a university for a minimum of 9 years to earn a doctoral degree in psychology and then do a post-doctoral supervised year of work. After obtaining their doctorate, psychologists must complete a postdoctoral year of supervised experience, write two sets of examinations and pass oral examinations.
- Psychotherapists are regulated and licensed by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, which has the power to discipline, fine and revoke the license of psychotherapist who have not performed their job competently. As a result, you are protected by high professional standards upheld by the College.
- Only therapists registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario can use the title “Psychotherapist” and the terms “psychology” and “psychological” (as in, for example, a “psychological report”.) Therefore, when you see a psychologist, you can be assured that he or she is an exceptionally well trained, well experienced, and well regulated health care professional.
